The status quo

Trucking software is stuck in 2010.

Most TMS tools were built for big trucking companies with IT departments. Owner-operators and small fleets are left with text-message dispatch, Excel logs, and bills written on the back of a fuel receipt.

📱

Text-message dispatch

Driver missed the address? Customer changed the time? Five separate group chats and nobody knows the current state of any load. Mistakes cost real money.

📋

Paper everywhere

Scale tickets, BOLs, rate confirmations, signed PODs — they live in glove boxes, dashboard cup holders, and lost-forever folders. Driver forgets to hand one in. Office types it into a spreadsheet a week later. Customer disputes the bill. You eat the difference.

💸

Slow invoicing

Two weeks to issue an invoice means a month before payment hits. Owner-operators float their fuel costs personally. The bigger fleets pay 5% factoring fees just to stay alive.

What you get

Everything from quote to paid invoice. In one place.

HaulSharp covers the full lifecycle of a load: dispatch, drive, deliver, invoice, get paid. No bolt-ons. No "integrations" that take a weekend to set up. It just works the day you sign in.

Dispatch board

See every load. Know where every truck is.

Drag-and-drop loads through their lifecycle. Filter by division, customer, or driver. Real-time status updates from the driver app — no more "is he there yet?" calls.

  • Every load: dispatched → at pickup → loaded → in transit → delivered → invoiced → paid
  • One-click "send to driver" — they get a push notification with the full load detail
  • Internal loads (in-house work) tracked separately, never billed to a customer by mistake
  • Tag loads, filter by tag, save views

Driver app

Drivers update status. Office sees it instantly.

Your driver opens the app on their phone, sees their loads for the day, taps to confirm. Status flows live to the dispatch board. Billable hours and tickets get filed before they leave the truck.

  • No app install — runs in any phone browser, works offline if needed
  • Camera-first paperwork capture — point, shoot, OCR auto-fills scale tickets, BOLs, and PODs
  • Billable hours required before "delivered" — no more chasing drivers for time logs
  • Auto-populates the daily log — driver doesn't enter the same info twice

Document OCR

Snap the paperwork. We type it.

Driver photographs the scale ticket, BOL, or rate confirmation; on-device OCR pulls the doc number, weight or quantity, and material or commodity automatically. Driver verifies, taps save, and the data is on the invoice before they pull out of the lot.

  • Scale tickets — Knife River, Vulcan, CalPortland, Cemex, Lafarge, regional pits, custom layouts
  • Bills of lading — flatbed, heavy haul, dry van, reefer — pulls shipper, consignee, commodity, pieces, weight
  • Runs on the device — no per-image API costs, no account needed for OCR
  • Falls back to manual entry gracefully if OCR can't read it; doc still attaches to the load

FAQ

Common questions.

How is this different from the dispatch software I'm using now?
HaulSharp was built by an active trucking company that got tired of stitching together 5–7 different tools — dispatch software, ELD, compliance trackers, factoring portals, payroll, fuel cards, accounting — that don't talk to each other. We rebuilt every part that actually matters (dispatch, driver app, invoicing, compliance, payroll) into one platform. Fewer screens, fewer logins, same daily workflow. Ticket OCR is included by default — not a paid add-on. And an AI partner named Roy answers your operational questions in plain English so you spend less time hunting through reports.
Do drivers need to download an app?
No. The driver app runs in any phone browser (iOS Safari or Android Chrome). They just bookmark it to their home screen — looks and feels like a native app, but no app store, no install, no permissions to manage. Updates are automatic.
How do I bring my existing data over?
We import customers, addresses, drivers, trucks, and your historical loads from spreadsheets. We give you ready-to-fill CSV templates for each — drop your data in, upload, done. If you're exporting from another platform, we'll help you map the columns. Most carriers are running on HaulSharp within an afternoon.
Will this work for non-aggregate hauling? (van, flatbed, reefer)
Yes. The core workflow — dispatch, status updates, invoice — applies to any haul type. The scale ticket OCR is most valuable for material hauling (rock, sand, asphalt, dirt), but if you don't haul material, you can ignore it. Equipment hauling, freight brokerage, and dump work are all first-class use cases.
Is my data secure?
Every customer's data lives in a separate logical tenant. Row-level security at the database layer means even with a software bug, one customer can never see another customer's loads. Audit logs track every change to financial data. Daily backups, encrypted at rest and in transit. Read more on our security page.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly billing, no annual commitment, cancel from settings in two clicks. You'll get a CSV export of every load, customer, invoice, and ticket on your way out — your data is yours.
Do you have an API?
Pro and Fleet tiers include a REST API for loads, customers, invoices, and documents. We support webhooks for status changes (load dispatched, delivered, invoiced, paid). Full docs are in the app once you sign in.
